Seven months is a relatively settled period between the 6-month regression and the 8-10 month storm. Most babies are on 2 naps, sleep improves — but teething and crawling can temporarily disrupt things.
| Parameter | 7 months | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Naps per day | 2 naps (sometimes 3) | Still transitioning |
| Wake window | 2.5–3.5 hours | Last WW before bed: 3–4 h |
| Bedtime | 7:00–7:30 PM | Short naps → earlier bedtime |
First teeth (lower central incisors) typically appear 6–8 months. Sleep disruption is real but short — 3–7 days before the tooth breaks through. If sleep is disrupted for more than 2 weeks continuously, the cause isn't teething — it's a sleep association or schedule issue.
Check: is the last nap ending too late (after 4 PM)? Is bedtime too late? Try moving bedtime 30 min earlier — paradoxically, earlier bedtime usually means later morning wake.
Baby Sleep Planner calculates optimal wake windows and alerts you when it's time to sleep.
